You are MY SUNSHINE

Today's card was inspired solely on my NEED to use the Rainbow Glimmer Paper.   I've had it for so long already and didn't crack open that package...I was astonished.  So when I found myself craving to use it, I had to pair it along with my favorite new stamp set as well.

Here's the card I came up with:

The shimmer and colors are so much fun!  My favorite stamp set is called "Ridiculously Awesome."  You can find it on page 90 in the Annual Catalog 2020-2021.  This stamp set is a Million Dollar achiever set from Ronda Wade.  Our CEO's husband, Sean Douglass, helped style this stamp set too...so if you haven't purchased it yet...get on it ;)

To create the background, you're going to cut the shimmer paper first into a rectangle- 3 3/4 x 5 inches.
After you have your rectangle piece, you will angle it over your cutter.  You will swivel the top edge of the glimmer paper across the cutting area.  This will keep your "sunrise" area at the bottom and create the "beams."  No right or wrong way...thin...wide...sharp angle...slight slant.  So forgiving.

After you cut your pieces, you will then start adhering them.  I placed mine on a piece of whisper white cardstock cut to 4 x 5 1/4 inches.  I started with one of my top corner pieces and then added the rest leaving a space between.  You'll want to keep two edges, a side and the top, even.  Then after everything is adhered, you'll trim this piece to the 3 3/4 x 5 inches.

Next it's time to emboss your image.  I used two different colors of cardstock but then used the white embossing powder on both of them.  I "fussy" cut the SUNSHINE out and then punched the You Are My from the other hue.  To create the greeting, I just added some dimensionals to the cut out image and placed it right over the top of the saying on the other piece.

One another card, I cut the glimmer cardstock at 4 x 6 inches and just cut it into "triangle" pieces.  As I went down, I tried to alternate all the sizes.  Then you just lay it out...I liked it better when I put the different shades within each other....just to mix it up a little bit.

On both cards, I used the Snowflake Splendor 1/4" Ribbon.  The iridescent  ribbon really brings out the shine from the glimmer paper as well.  I liked the two layers of ribbon together.

Lastly I added some Rhinestone embellishments.  You can never have too much BLING :)

Please let me know if you have any questions!  I hope you enjoyed my shimmery bold fun loving card today...and maybe a little sunshine to your day as well!
