Share It Sunday Blog Hop

Share It Sunday Blog Hop is one of my favorites.  I can showcase anything I want.  And for those of you who know me, I am loving scrapbooking right now!  Not sure if it's because I'm super duper far behind or if I just love to showcase how you can utilize Stampin' Up! products for scrappin'.  Nonetheless, I have a real "purrfect" one for you today!

Princess Poofers used to just be called Poofers.  She got her name for a couple different reasons.  First, she is poofy.  Her blackish brown coat is so fluffy.  And secondly when we got her from the pet shelter, she hid.  And I mean hid.  We couldn't find her and our middle son Trenton said "Poof, she's gone."  At the time he was really into magic.  We ended up finding her in the basement ceiling hiding by the furnace ducts.  And now she is Princess Poofers because she's the only kitty cat left in our home and she is for surely treated like a princess!

Now Princess Poofers likes certain things.  And one such thing is sitting on my lap.  Every single time I go to sit on the couch, she is right there waiting to jump up.  If I plan on working on the computer, like I am right now, I have to put up the footrest and she lays on my legs.  These pictures are from Feb 15th, the day after my scrapbooking retreat when I was going through emails.  She also likes the corner of my laptop and rubs her face against it.

First thing to do was to figure out my background.  I wanted to use Purple Posy.  I can't tell you how many times I took this picture but it's super hard to photograph this color.  I used Purple Posy 12x12 cardstock.  Then I laid over 6x6 designer series paper also in the Purple Posy color.  Using this DSP is great as there's 4 different patterns...I used 3 of them over the background.

Another thing I like to do is to punch shapes out of the foil paper when I use it for a mat on my photos.  You won't be able to see it as they're covered up by the picture.

Some of the details of this layout include:  Gold Leafing on the large flowers, Wink of Stella on all the die cut images, used the Stampin' Blends to color the rhinestones black, and stitched rectangles for journaling and the title.

I really hoped you enjoyed my set of scrapbook pages for Share It Sunday Blog Hop.  Make sure to visit the other blogs too!  I love it when you leave me a comment as well.
Have a great day!  -Elizabeth

Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop

Time for another Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop!  This time I decided to use the box to inspire me!  You can get inspiration from anywhere.  And if you don't you have another option of just completing the cards/project that is sent in the awesome kit.

I love getting my kit in the mail.  It's a wonderful day and such a fun surprise.  This kit featured mountains and trees.  I used the old olive, pretty peacock, and then seaside spray colors (this was on one of the cards) for my inspiration.

Even though I wanted to keep this more of a masculine card, after I stamped the pretty peacock, I used the wink of stella to blend the extra ink into the white areas.

I hope you enjoyed my alternate inspired idea.  Don't forget to visit the others in this blog hop!

Have a great day- Elizabeth

Easter Themed Blog Hop

Oh lovely pastels in Spring always bring a lovely Easter presence.  I remember when I was younger and we would dress up for Easter.  Now things are a little different but I still love those pastel colors and flowers to celebrate.

I just love the Timeless Tulips bundle.  This stamp set has amazing lines and awesome shading.  The Dist-Ink-Tive stamp set is easy to use and stamps do lovely.

Rococo Rose is going away!  This is my favorite 2019-2021 In Color.  Don't forget to check out all the other In Colors that will be gone soon!  You don't want to miss out!

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop- Anything But A Card!

Anything But A Card....well I have a CARD BOX... I thought it was a little funny.  This card box I created for my brother's wedding.  His lovely bride wore a lovely shade of pink for her dress and blushing bride was the perfect color to coordinate.

Along with blushing bride, I knew I wanted to add black and white.  The True Love Designer Series Paper was the perfect pairing for the card box.  In true Stampin' Up! fashion I was able to coordinate these colors with the amazing ribbon, Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon.

Once I added the ribbon, I knew I needed a little bit more bling.  So I added some gold... Gilded Leafing and Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.  With having several sizes in the dots, I was able to add some by the letters too without it being overpowering.

(the large letter are retired) I offset the letters to add a little dimension to them.  By incorporating the diagonal stripe as a shadow for the "title."

On the top, I utilized the black and white and added the pops or color.  Since I was adding flowers with leaves, it seemed appropriate to add in Pear Pizzazz.  The strip of embossing was ran through the folder twice for the length.  This can be a little challenging to line up with it did turn out great!

I will be removing the front panel and framing it for their wall...cause I don't expect them to keep the whole card box!  :)

This was taken right before the night end!  We had a wonderful time!

I hope you enjoyed my Anything But A Card blog hop.  Don't forget to visit the other blogs!
Have a great day- Elizabeth
