For my ribbon technique today, I am going to show you how to make the perfect tie knot on your card. It's super simple and work with any ribbon of your choosing!
First you will start by grabbing your favorite ribbon. Here I have the Silver Edge Metallic Ribbon. This strand is colored with the blends so it's pool party with the silver...that looks cool...right?!?!
Next you'll take any round object (Pen, highlighter, etc) but it does have to be a little rounder in circumference. I prefer our Stampin' Spriters. I always have them handy and they seem to be the perfect size. Then you will tie a knot around the end. Tie it twice to keep the ribbon in place.
After you tie if firmly, just slide the loop off of the spritzer. This will leave a nice loop. Take your sharp scissors and cut the loop in the center at an angle. Once the loop opens up you're left with a perfect knot. Of course you will trim it to your liking. Cut ribbon to desired card width...make sure to leave enough room to tuck the edges behind if needed.
Here's two other examples using the ribbon trick. It's super easy and can be used on any card where you can just tuck the edges behind a mat.
I hope you find this trick helpful. Not only will it save you ribbon but also time and frustration of making the perfect knot.
