Refresh the Retiring Stamp Camp #1

BETSY'S BLOSSOMS & GLIMMER BRADS

I remember when this stamp set came out.  It was a preorder set and it had coordinating designer series paper.  OH I JUST LOVED IT!  But after a couple months, I stopped using it.  The paper wasn't available the following year and I just didn't grab it off the shelf.  When I saw this set on the retired list, well I knew why it was.  Like others, I'm sure they bought it and then it sat on the way side.  I was excited to see that it's day is up and soon we'll get a new set to replace it.  But for now, I WAS GOING TO USE IT!!!

I refreshed this stamp set by using it with one of our newer embossing folders.  I loved the way the hexagons played on the bold patterns of the flowers.  Of course, it's so easy to create this...just stamp your paper and then roll on through the embossing folder.  WOW...you're awesome!

The GLIMMER BRADS I will definitely miss!  They are the perfect size....not to big, not too small and of course glittery!!!  I'm not sure what replacement I will find for this accessory.  :(  I already miss you!

How easy to accent a sentiment.  Just add a bow with a glue dot and presto...awesome little saying and accent.  I do like this ribbon too....I hope we get some good new stuff!

COLORS USED:  Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, and Pumpkin Pie

Emergency Oral Surgery

Well...for those of you who don't know yet.  I had to have Emergency Oral Surgery on Thursday.

I HATE...H...A....T...E going to the dentist.  I love the clean feeling but everything else I just hate hate hate!
So my dentist is very kind and gentle and I think she knew that I was going to have a hard time with this.
She sent me straight away to oral surgery.  I was kind of happy about this.  I would get put under and not have a care in the world...maybe even get some much needed sleep since this tooth hurt me so bad it was hard sleeping.  So I worked a couple hours in the morning and then met my Grandma Joan at Oral Surgery.

After the xray I was taken to the procedure room.  The girl prepped me for surgery and then started to try and find a vein for the IV.  Well after banding and patting my arms, she finally a spot.  BUT NOPE IT DIDN"T WORK!!!  As she was getting ready to try again, the Doc comes in and does the consultation.  I don't need to have my wisdom teeth out.  It's just my 2nd molar.  SO my luck, I don't get to be put under.  Instead I had to endure him ripping the tooth out of my mouth fully awake and then digging to find the root by my wisdom tooth.  OH MY GOODNESS!  It was not fun.  NOT FUN!!!

To make a long story short, this is my after picture....the next day after my procedure.  I'm sure you can tell that it's a LITTLE POOFY and I'm starting a bruise by the chin/cheek line.  I know you can't tell but I'm actually smiling....my cheek didn't budge.  :(
