DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THE BLENDABILITIES?!?!? These awesome alcohol based markers definitely rock my world! Besides the ease of use, the colors and shading are remarkable. As you can see from this card, they come in a variety of colors!
Here you can see that I used white embossing first. I stamped the image in VersaMark and then heat embossed it in white. If you would do this technique and use our regular water based markers, this technique would be called "Emboss Resist." The water based markers would just smear right off of the white embossing powered. This would make your paper colored and the white appear as though it wasn't touched at all. Since we're using alcohol based BLENDABILITIES, the color just appears lighter. I love this effect as it seems like you're shading but really you don't have to!
Since the BLENDABILITIES have two ends, one brush and one writing, it's very easy to get into smaller places. I used the "writing" end to get the line on the banner and of course the brush ends to get into the roses and pedals. Here I used Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, and Rich Razzleberry.
I love our Chevron ribbon. I do find it kind of bulky when I want to tie it in a not so I like to use other thinner ribbons to help out. I used the 1/8in Crushed Curry Taffeta Ribbon. You can also see from this close up that I mimicked the background in the stamp with the Perfect Polka Dots Texture Embossing Folder. Since the focal point of this card is so large, the nice subtle background really adds a lot of class to this card.
