Whew! We've made it to December! And this month is when we think of "the holidays." This blog hop is to showcase the not so common/everyday thing you think of when you hear "Happy Holidays." Check out what I'm celebrating at the end of the month!
National Bacon Day: December 30th
You read that right...bacon. If you don't know...I LOVE BACON!
Check out that BACON! I made it out of Cajun Craze paper and some ink. I drew it out and hand cut it. Then used the outline left and the sponge daubers to create the stripes in the bacon. After adding some color, I used the fine tip glue pen to add some shiny "grease" to the cardstock.
This was also the first time I used the foam adhesive sheets. These are great! BOTH sides of this foam is sticky! So you can peel back the one side, add your cardstock/dsp and then you cut out your letters. When you're ready to place the letters onto your project, then you peel off the other side to adhere it down! Easy peasy!
To add a little "shiny" metal pan texture to this, I also heat embossed the sayings.
Seriously, BACON, you made my day! (Bacon does really make everything better!)
Let me know what your favorite bacon dish is! I can always use more ;)
Well I don't eat bacon but I admire your creativity - it's VERY realistic!
