Oh my gosh! This Paper Pumpkin is so adorable! The stamp set is so cute! I used the sweet Bear and one of the sayings to create this lovely Magic Card.
A Magic Card is one where it appears that it's not colored in and when you pull it up, then bam...magic...it's all shaded and beautiful.
To create a sliding magic card, you will have a peek area. To find where that is, you will score your card base (5 1/4in x 11in) at 3 7/8in and 4in. Then turn it around and score at 1 7/8in and 2in. The middle panel will be your peek panel. Here I used the stitched rectangle dies to cut that out.
One you have the peek area, we need to add a panel to hide the magic. This piece will be white (typically) and measures 4in x 5in. You will adhere this with foam strips. And you will alternate the pieces on each side of the divider. Line up between the score marks. Then gently fold over your "back" pieces and use strong tape to keep them together.
The "magic" part comes in when you have a clear overlay and then pull it up over the white...to show the colored image. Here you can see the acetate image is stamped in Staz On and then the colored image on white is in Memento Black and colored with Stampin' Blends. I align them and used the circle punch to keep them together.
Finishing touches include ribbon on the circle to create a pull. I stapled it together to help keep the two pieces together as well. Also some heart dies on the bottom.
I used only 3 colors on this card: Basic Black, Rococo Rose, and Crumb Cake. I wanted to keep it simple even though it's complicated! :)
