Thank you: Share It Sunday

For today's edition of Share it Sunday, I wanted to say THANK YOU! Seriously, peeps, I wouldn't be able to do this without you all!

This card reflects a lot of things that I love...especially giving appreciation. Let me go over a few of the things that I "love" with this card...and Stampin' Up! in general.

Stampin' Blends: I used these amazing coloring tools to add color to the background of the designer series paper. True Love DSP is all black and white---so you can add whatever color you'd like.

Embossing: I love to add texture with embossing. Dry embossing provides added details but can be subtle too.

Color coordination: When I decided I wanted to add a little Rococo Rose, I was able to find the amazing Metallic Ribbon. This also allowed me to add champagne foil and rhinestones.

And of course I love it when you have an outside and inside sayings!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love doing Stampin' Up! and hopefully sometime in the future, I will be able to do this full time. As of right now, my goal is to try and earn the incentive trip. So far this Stampin' Up! year, my progress has been amazing. I hope to continue to inspire you and keep the momentum climbing.

Donkey Scraps: Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. Today's hop features "What's New?" Kind a way to celebrate the new year, new ideas, new things. I hope you find my card "new" in a way too.

My project came to mind when I was cleaning off my scraps by my cutter. These 1/2 inch strips were just right there and I was going to just toss them in the garbage. Then I kind of liked the colors together and this card was born. This goes to show that you just never know where your inspiration will come from. The 1/2 inch strips are created when you cut mats and other things. Now I will for surely be keeping an eye on those for quick easy cards.

I did cut a layer to adhere my scraps to. The layer is in Blackberry Bliss, the same color as my card base. I put tape around the whole outside of the layer as close to the edge as possible. Then you just add your strips, any angle you want, and snip off the hang over pieces. Pretty simple and yet so striking and beautiful. (if I do say so myself).

Of course, to color Mr. Jack, I used my favorite coloring tools, Stampin' Blends. At first I wasn't sure how Blackberry Bliss hair and Calypso Coral feet would look, but I do really like him.

Watercolor Wash Background Blog Hop

Yes! It's another blog hop :) I love doing these. I stay motivated and get to see lots of cool things that everyone else does too! I did a watercolor wash technique...which is super easy!!! Seriously...almost fail proof.

Oh so pretty! For my background I used Highland Heather, Magenta Madness, and Night of Navy. I do think on my sample, I did use Gorgeous Grape but both look amazing! For this technique you definitely have to use our FLUID 100 WATERCOLOR PAPER. This paper is thick. And I know, I have used other watercolor paper, and this is the best. It doesn't curl up and is very sturdy when wet.

A couple things to note, you will start with a whole wash over the whole piece of paper. Then add your color. I like to do lightest to darkest but to each their own. Check out my YouTube video below!

Here is another card using the wash technique. Instead of adding colors all over, I just added it to the bottom, then the middle, and the top. Super duper easy! Then I stamped in StazOn Black right over the top of the amazing hues.

If my 9 year old niece Lilly can do watercoloring, you can too. I need to have her send me a picture of her finished cards cause these hearts she's doing turned out amazing!
