Sweet Baby Memory Tin & Can

This is another set of Memory Tin & Can. This one is more baby themed. Please see description of "Butterfly Kisses" for more details.

Butterfly Kisses Paint Can & Memory Tin

These pictures are of a Butterfly Kisses Memory Can and Memory Tin. I can personalize any tin/can you like or I can make one just for your special person. Inside the Memory Tin are two small envelopes up top to hold special little things. And behind the small envelopes are two matted pieces to add a special touch. In a "baby themed" tin the envelopes are labeled "lock of hair" and "hospital bracelet" and the matted pieces are labeled "hand print" and "foot print." In the bottom of the memory tin are clear envelopes put together to form a mini album. I have printed off the first twelve months for you to write down your special memories but if you don't want to use them, just use them to mat a picture to slide in there. The memory tins and can are great for many reasons: 1) It's an easy way to scrapbook- especially the first year of the baby's life; 2) It's a great way to keep things that won't fit into a scrapbook, like baby's favorite outfit or a macaroni sculpture; 3) You can easily personalize them to fit your child- sports, ballet, etc; and 4) They make great unique gifts- have a baby shower to attend and don't know what to get...this makes a great gift!
Memory Cans are $18 Memory Tins are $20 Buy both and save...only $33!

Stamping & Scrapping Weekend- THE LUAU

These scrapbook pages were all done this past weekend at "The Luau" Scrapbooking Get Together. It was 2 1/2 days of scrapping bliss. The only bad thing is packing up all your stuff- but it's so nice to be able to focus and dig in! And yes, the pictures are from 2000 & 2001 :)
It may not seem like I got a lot done, but remember- I make one set of pages for me and then one for each child in the pictures. So I always have to make at least two sets, sometimes three, or four!

Feeling like a KID AGAIN!!!

Watch out for this COOL skateboarder!!! Two of my boys took skateboarding lessons this summer so I "HAD" to buy this stamp for their scrap books. I also "HAD" to purchase the "Extreme Elements" stamp set to coordinate. So here we have a funky boys' card. I used quite a collection of colors: Only Orange, Green Galore, Chocolate Chip, and Bermuda Bay. Our skateboarder is a little special though. I used Chocolate Chip Craft Ink and Clear Embossing Powder to give him a glossy look and make him "stand out from the crowd." My boys even said, "This card is cool MOM!"

How adorable is this pony?!?!? Of course, I loved playing with "My Little Pony" when I was a child and now as time reverts back to what we "used" to love, it's coming back though in my "adult" years. For this card, I used Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, and Crushed Curry (all the In Colors). I stamped the pony in Chocolate Chip and then used the In Color Markers to add color to the pony. To highlight the hair, I used a 2way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds glitter to bring some "sparkle" to the pony. The background is the Dream roller. And the small piece of designer series paper is from Razzleberry Lemonade paper pack. To top things off I added Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon. You can also use the accessories that come with the Pony Party stamp set to give the pony a different stamp on the hinder (lol), a horn, and wings.

Happy Halloween Frankenstein!

Happy Halloween Frankenstein!!! Can you believe that these pics were from Halloween 2001?!?!?! OMG I really need to get some more pics scrapped! My oldest son Jeremiah(now going to be 10 next week) is Franky and his young witch friend is Alyca Wojcik. Also in the pics is Grandma Rhonda as the scary ninja. I used Green Galore, Gable Green, Basic Black, and Only Orange for the colors. For the background I used the rough texture wheel which I rolled both ways (up and down and side to side). Then I used taffy alphabet for the title. The frankenstein is from the stamp set Batty for You. I also used some scrap pieces to make stitches (like franky) in the background! Hope you like my pages!

Friends at Play

I can't believe the color combination with these pages. I don't think I would have used these colors if I didn't like these metal edged alphabet chipboard letters so much. The background is from last year's catalog (Pacific Point in color) The other colors I used were silver and Rose Red. The accessories was the chipboard (from a craft store) and silver large grommets from SU! This is the first time I used the grommets and I really like them. The pictures were from June 2003! In the pics are two of my kids- Jeremiah and Alexander and my friend Christina's two kids- Brandon and Alexis.

New Cards using Holiday Mini Catalog

All the following cards we made using stamp sets from the Holiday Mini Catalog. This mini should be arriving in your mailboxes soon. If you don't receive one by Sept 4th, please feel free to let me know and I can mail you one. The Holiday Mini runs Sept 1-Jan 4. You should have plenty of time to get all the great things you need.
The first card is made using Cold & Cuddly Stamp Set. This is a "different" set from what we normally see. It has a polar bear, penguin, and walrus all for the north pole setting. For this card we using Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Mellow Moss, and Whisper White. We also used the masking technique and some Mellow Moss Grograin Ribbon.
Serene Snowflakes is the featured set on the middle card. Although you can't really tell on the scanned image, the large cut out snowflake is stamped with "Frost White Shimmer Paint." This is a new product offered in the Mini catalog. I think it looks great! In the center of the large snowflake I added a Filigree Designer Brad. I also added just a little White Satin Ribbon to offset the card a little bit. The greeting is from the Sincere Salutations stamp set. Card colors are Bordering Blue, Night of Navy, Silver, and Whisper White.
This last card is made using the Autumn Splendor Stamp Set. The saying is from the set On Your Birthday. The patterned paper is also from the mini catalog and is called Autumn Meadows. I've also added some Chocolate Chip Taffetta Ribbon. The colors on this card are: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Really Rust and Taken with Teal.
These 3 cards will also be featured at my card class in September! Sign up NOW! You can check out details for the class at http://www.elizabethgiles.stampinup.net/ under "my calendar"

Jeremiah's Birthday Invites

This is the invite I created for Jeremiah's birthday party. His birthday happens to fall on Labor Day so we'd thought we'd make it an end of the summer party too. And yes, for those of you who know me personally- I am deathly afraid of frogs. But what did I name my first born??? Jeremiah- like Jeremiah was a bullfrog apparently! Anyways. The colors on the card are Dusty Durango, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, and Very Vanilla. The stamp set is called Hoppy For You. They also have a coordinating scrappin' kit too! Enjoy!!!

Medallion Card

This is the first card I created (with Christina's help) from using the medallion. This is a new large background stamp set. First we used Black and Irridescent Ice Embossing Powders to emboss the image onto the Melon Mambo paper. We then cut out and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals to the Bermuda Bay card stock. The edge was scalloped using the Eyelet Border punch and a piece of Melon Mambo was placed behind to create contrast. The black ribbon was added along with a greeting and saying on the inside. To add a little more pop to the medallion I added a Rhinestone Brad to the middle. This was a nice simple card but with lots of flair. This card will be featured at an upcoming Card Camp of mine (visit www.elizabethgiles.stampinup.net for a list of my camps!)

Love You TOO

We could all use a little love- right?!?! This scrap page could be used to express your love or someone else's love towards anything. You could love your grandparents, parents, kids, pets, etc. The colors in this layout are Basic Grey, Pretty in Pink, Basic Black, and Melon Mambo. The stamp sets used are Love You Much and Contempo Alphabet. The background is acutally textured paper but it's hard to tell in the pic.

Circle Circus Sidewalk Chalk Scrap Pages

These are pages I designed using the Circle Circus Stamp Set. The colors here are: Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, and Crushed Curry. All the colors are the new "IN COLORS" available now thru June 2010. I thought that pictures of drawing on the sidewalk with chalk was a perfect fit.

Petal Pizzazz Scrap Pages

This is one of the sets of scrapbook pages we will be creating for an upcoming Scrap Book Class of mine. It uses the colors: Not Quite Navy, Apricot Appeal, Old Olive, and Rich Razzleberry. The stamp set used is Petal Pizzazz. The background is "brushed" using the Apricot Appeal ink. Brads are in the center of each "popped" flower.

Crazy for Cupcakes

This scrap book page features a lot of elements that I really like about Stampin' Up! My favorite elements from SU! is that they color match everything for you. So if you're using Rich Razzleberry Paper, you'll also get that same (exact same, they're very particular about that) in ribbon, markers, ink, paper, and other accessories. So as you can see, I used the polka dot ribbon, paper, and ink and I didn't have to worry about "matching" the colors. I am also in love with the fact that SU! makes it easy to coordinate your stamps with each other too. The large cupcake is a seperate set than the smaller one, but yet they are similar enough to use together.

Featured in the pictures is my neice Abigail (as most of you know I have three boys!)

Just Starting

I am just trying this out to see if I can do it. I wanted a space that I could freely add things too and edit when ever I'd like. I hope that this is what I am looking for. Please let me know what you think.
