Who doesn't love animals?!?! Well the annual catalog has plenty of them. And this cute GOAT set is one of my favorites. WHY does it become a favorite? I love stamp sets with images and coordinating fun sayings! This set for surely hit that mark!

I used this stamp set to show how you can do simple cards and then STEP them up. The first card is just a THICK white card base. I stamped directly on the card base in Black Staz On. Then added color using the WaterColor Pencils Assortment 2. I love the hues in this package...not your everyday basic colors. I only used 3: Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green, and Balmy Blue. To "spread" the color, I used blender pens. They are a clear wet marker type utensil. Amazing! |
Now let's take this simple card and step it up a little bit. We're going to add some layers and an embellishment. We are using the same coloring tools. I added a black layer and a colored card base. Also..a little bling--- the Artistry Blooms Sequins---which are self adhesive...love that!

Lastly, we take this and ADD MORE! In the Advanced version, I added an embossing folder, die cut images, dimensionals, and "nicer" embellishments. To add a little more contrast to the black, the embossing folder was just a subtle Textile Texture to not make it stand out too much. Our focal point, Mr. Goat, was stamped on a die cut rectangle and the saying as well. Love these dies...the Stitched Rectangle Dies are a must!!
