Birthday Wishes

For this card, I wanted to design a gender neutral card.  I think the Watermelon Wonder and Beruda Bay go either way!  The coordinating paper and washi tape are awesome!

Check out the pictures below to find more items that were used!

For the background, I used the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack.  This is a great pack for all you fun birthday needs and so much more!

The stamp set used was Build a Birthday Photopolymer Stamp Set.  It's one of several new birthday sets in this year's catalog.  When you look at the stamp, of course, your first impression is that you want to make a build a cake....but I love the candle look too.  You can see that I didn't stamp my candles on this card, instead I used Cherry on Top Designer Washi Tape.  I love the different colored strips and wanted a little color on my candles :)

For the crazy looking poof, I used the new Cherry on Top Cotton Paper.  Have you noticed a theme about this card?  All the coordinating products are awesome to create your projects easily.  The top of the tag is punched using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  It's an easy way to add a little decoration and tab to insert ribbon or paper or anything else through.

Very Versatile!

I just love cards that are versatile.  This card was made for my retirement camp.  The chevron ribbon is no longer available...although I love it to death!  I hope you enjoy this card!

Mr. Moose

I have three boys (well four, if you count my husband) and I always find it hard to make "boy" stuff when in the craft room.  I always want to grab the glitter and pretty paper.  Well this time I grabbed the awesome paper stack of "real" pictures.  I fell in love with the birch bark look but just couldn't get things right.  I had the cardstock, dsp, and the desire to create a manly card.

Well, then I saw Mr. Moose!  I knew he was my guy.  Inked in VersaMark I stamped him and heat embossed in black (might have a little dazzling diamonds in it but not too much).

And look how lovely he looks!  The Bermuda Bay cardstock makes the black look sharp.  Next it was time to find some coordinating accessories.  That wasn't very hard to do.

Some silver metal buttons and ribbon are all I needed.   Then comes assembly.  I added the Petite Pairs stamp set for the greeting and saying on the inside.

As you can see, this was a great card and extremely versatile.  Birthday, sympathy, thanks, and anything else you can think of works perfectly.  These cards were easy to make and look great!

Mother's Day Moments

Just wanted to share these pics and video from Mother's Day.  It was actually a pretty good day for once!  The weather was descent...as were the kids.

This picture is Trenton, Brian, and Alexander at Grandma Giles' apartment.  They were just so cute all sitting on the one side of the couch...even though no one was sitting on the other part.  Jeremiah is MIA since he was still helping with the boyscout breakfast.
We all went to the breakfast and after that we went up to pretty up Gary's grave.  We bought a new perennial and planted it along with a cross that lit up.

Later in the day, I called my mom to see what she was doing.  She of course was outside working and so I asked her if she needed any help.  Rhonda said if I wanted to...which meant yes but I don't want to put you out :)  So Jeremiah and I made our way out to help her renovate her flower bed.

And then Jeremiah decided to ride the wagon down to the garage to put it away...the wind was picking up and the storms were coming.  Check out the shorts, with the sweatshirt and stocking cap!
