Gwynnie Bee....stylin'!

I just wanted to share a couple pictures of a couple dresses I wore recently.  The dresses are from a company where you wear the clothes and then return them.  It's like Netflix for designer awesome clothes!  I really like Gwynnie Bee.

This dress I received I just loved it from the first site.  The colors were so brilliant yet muted.  Someone on the site said it reminded them of Halloween....uggg.  I paired it with a light blue necklace that I have bought at Goodwill a few months ago and never worn.  Well this was definetly the perfect dress to wear it with!  IT MATCHED PERFECTLY!

This other dress is a little bit brighter!  It was still cold here so I wore it with this black cardigan and black beaded necklace.  I got many compliments on the colors in this dress.

FROZEN ON ICE...just the girls!

It was girls' weekend!  Just us 7 girls out on the town...well I guess...more Minnesota.  My mom Rhonda, me, my sister Holly and her two girls, Abigail and Lilly, and my sister-in-law Brenda and her daughter, Angela.
Our first stop on our adventures was the Woodbury Shopping Mall.  I just love this place.  We stopped last time on our road trip.  It's an "outdoor" shopping area.  You just walk the streets from shop to shop and enjoy nature while getting some new duds!

I had the girls stop for a moment and "strike a pose."  Lilly especially took it to heart....look at her awesome pose!  We then split up and got some serious shopping done!  My favorite store...thanks to my old co-worker at Columbus...Charming Charlies!  The jewelry collections there are awesome and inexpensive...just my taste!

We had an awesome two bedroom suite at Embassy Suites.  We had two queen beds and one large king size bed.  Abigail slept on her own pull out sofa.  Holly decided she was staying on the couch since she was comfy.  Mom and I slept in the king size bed.  Angela started out sleeping by Lilly and then moved into bed with Brenda.  It was quite a large place for everyone to relax and chill.

The next morning we were off to the Target Center in the twin cities...but not before a selfie!  Or two or three.  I couldn't get everyone aligned just right.  Oh well...still fun!  AND yes Holly drove...we did make it a ok!

EVERYONE WAS DRESSED TO THE NINE'S...in FROZEN costumes of course!

Grandma needed to spoil the kiddos even more!  They each got to pick one item from the magical disney display.  Angela was dressed as Olaf, Lilly as Ana, and Abigail as Elsa.  My mom made their outfits...what talent she has...especially when it comes to her grand-kids.

I snapped a picture before we entered the arena.  The rest of the pictures were taken on Holly's camera...I think we have a couple thousand.  What princesses I have for nieces?!?  Who need daughters when you have such wonderful nieces?

THANK YOU Butterfly!

I was looking for a simple thank you and ran across a swap that I received at Leadership.  I loved it and made my own.  I really love coral right now...I think it's coming from my friend Christina's fetish with it right now!  So I wanted Calypso Coral to be my focal color.

I found this great paper in the Sale-A-Bration pack.  Isn't it great?!?!  Then I pulled out some other colors.  I really like the deep but bright Island Indigo and then I brought it all together by adding Pool Party.  Color is one of the most important things when doing a card.

After choosing the colors and having the card almost completed, I just could decide what colors to make the butterfly.  So I punched out a few butterflies and lined them up to see!  Of course my first instinct was correct.  I like the first one.  I added some pearls and it was done :)

Work of Art was the stamp set used.  I the background paper really complimented the stamp set too.

Here's the original card I received at a swap at leadership.  I love them both!

Road trip to State Forensics!

Before this year, make that before a couple months ago, did I know exactly what forensics was/is?  Not really?!!?  But Trenton finally got involved in something, thanks to the help of Ian and Zach.  Don't they all look so joyous to be there?!?!

Apparently you can't take pictures or record during the actual performance so this is the only picture I have of them :(  The did receive BRONZE for their performance!  Not bad for two freshman!

Afterwards, we stopped for an early lunch....at A&W.  Yes one of them I haven't been to before.  Well, let me correct that.  I've been there, they just happened to be closed early that night...for whatever reason.  So I have a little big of a grudge with them....lol.  But it turned out great!  A&W is awesome...Bacon Cheeseburger, Fries (and Cheesecurds), and ROOT BEER!!!  MMM!!

Trenton wouldn't look at me because he knew I was taking his picture.

Here's my picture for my A&W book :)

And this I just had to take a picture of.  Ian said that he doesn't take "naps" and then proceeded to fall asleep within 30 minutes of such saying.  I think it was the full belly and sun combo!

Hats off to YOU!

Who doesn't like a good top hat?!?  I just love this new stamp set, GUY GREETINGS!  It has everything you need to make a wonderful manly card.

The hardest part for me when I make a masculine card is choosing the colors.  I don't want it to be dark.  It seems like a lot of "boys" colors aren't bright and booming.  So I chose Wild Wasabi to bring the other colors to life.

For the background label, I used the Sale-a-braion paper, and colored it with Wild Wasabi.  The shiny areas (embossed) resist the ink and leave it white.  I just love this paper and technique.

I stamped the hats on Marina Mist with the same color ink.  I love this look as it's very subtle but still gives the detail.  I'm not a fussy cutter usually but I knew these would have to be.

I used the hats and stamped them three times in a row with color on color again.  Then I stamped the saying...purposely crooked...across them.  I love the contrast!

On the left is my card and on the right is the card I received from Elaine Schader in a swap at leadership.  I just love swapping.
