HAPPY GOLDEN BIRTHDAY TRENTON!!!!

My post today isn't Stampin' Up! related but family related.  I'd like you to meet my middle child, Trenton!  It was his GOLDEN birthday on Friday....14 on the 14th!

Even though he's not the oldest, he is the biggest.  He's at least 6 foot tall and wears a size 15 shoe!!!!

Here he is with a cloak my mom made him for Christmas.  Trenton has a great great imagination.  He reads a lot of books, watches many movies, and just loves creativity.  He'll walk circles in our backyard just creating stories in his mind (and sometimes out loud).

He also loves animated cartoons.   His favorite is Justice League.   All the different characters he can be.  Here I got him a real neat SuperMan cap.

Shiny....my new favorite color!!!

I don't know if you noticed that GOLD and SILVER are totally slammin' right now?!?!  I just love the look of the embossing on the doily.  Don't you?!?!

For this card I used the Delicate Doilies Sizzlit.  On some of the samples I've seen, they used the doilies from Stampin' Up! but I didn't have any.  So I used the sizzlit and I also used a yucky retired color cardstock since I was going to cover it all anyways!  After I cut the doily out I used the VersaMark ink pad and just covered the whole doily.  Then using silver embossing powder with a little dazzling diamond mixed in, heated it up to this lovely silver sparkling doily.

You can see some of the glimmer in this photo where the flash isn't so bright.

To make the center sentiment, just stamp your saying on an 1in strip of whisper white.  And then use the circle punch.  Next you'll attach your white rounded piece to a black piece that's 1 1/8 in.  You'll line up the edge of your circle (remember to use the punch upside down so you can see what you're doing).  And punch.  You'll attach it to a circle punched from designer series paper.

Paper:  Bermuda Bay Card Stock; Silver Foil; Crappy Retired Paper (for doily); Whisper White, Basic Black, Bold Brights Designer Series Paper Stack; and Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper

Assessories:   Melon Mambo 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon; Stampin' Dimensionals; Scallop Edge Border Punch;
1 3/4 in Circle Punch; Big Shot; & Delicate Doilies Sizzlit

Mosaic Madness

It's Madness......MADNESS I SAY :)   I just love the stamp set Mosaic Madness.  It was a favorite of mine when the new catalog came out this past June.  I purchased this set right away and used it all the time.  Lately I find that it's just been sitting there and staring at me.  So I went on Pinterest to find some inspiration.  I hope you enjoy this card.  It's got alot of bling but you could easily make it more "MANLY" by just switching the rhinestones to candy dots.  The colors are great neutral colors.  ENJOY!

I took a sideways picture as well.  Here you can see the dimensions on the card.  Yes I used 6 Stampin' Dimensionals to pop each of the mosaics up individually.  And IT"S TOTALLY WORTH IT!  I love the simplicity of this card.  I used all but one stamp in the set...getting my monies worth :)

COLORS:  Pear Pizzazz, Pool Pary, and Smoky Slate

Stamp Sets:  Mosaic Maddness and Express Yourself (Hostess Set)

Accessories:  Stampin' Dimensionals, Rhinestones, and Mosaic Punch

GOT TO LOVE CHEVRON AND GOLD!!! (Stampin' Six Project)

I just love love love my Stampin' Six CLUB!!!  I love this club for a couple reasons.  OF COURSE the club members are AWESOME!!!  And the second, it's a great show for everyone!

My Stampin' Six Club has....6 MEMBERS!  (Of course otherwise it wouldn't be a Stampin' Six club).  These members agree to host a show one month out of the year and also to order from the other members for their shows with the minimum being a $30 order.  WHY $30?!?!  Simple...with five members (everyone but the hostess) ordering $30, the hostess reaches a $150 show, which is the minimum show amount.  This means that everyone in the club will get to get hostess benefits.  AND AND AND at each club meeting we do 3 projects.  Well as you can see from the project below, we get to do some things that I wouldn't normally do at just any event.  I get to use supplies that may be just a little more expensive as I only have to do six of them.  Aside from the AWESOME projects and HOSTESS benefits, Stampin' Six club members also receive a discount during their birthday month (a pretty nice one too if I might add), a FREE stamp camp coupon, free catalog and mini booklets, and discounts on gift during Christmas time as well.  If you like what you join or hear more about my STAMPIN' SIX clubs please let me know! NEW CLUBS START in JUNE when the new catalog comes out!  GET YOUR PEEPS TOGETHER TODAY!!!

I just love love love this mini muslin bag.  And of course, the chevron pattern looks great with it.  To get the pattern onto the bag (as well as the tag), I just heat embossed it in gold.  Now I know what you're saying, that doesn't look like gold embossing.  Well with the type of medium we're using, it doesn't show up the same.  It's more of a flat gold color than the shiny like on the tag.  But it still looks great.

The colors I used here were Marina Mist, Natural Vanilla, and Baked Brown Sugar.  I just love how the Marina Mist pops the other colors out along with it.

Stamp Sets:  Positively Chevron large background stamp; Mixed Bunch Stamp Set with Coordinating Blossom Punch; and Hello, Lovely Stamp Set

Accessories:  Champagne Glass Glitter; Gold Embossing Powder; Heat Tool; Mini Muslin Bags; Tag Topper Punch; and Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Sorry MY PEEPS

Just wanted to give a shout out there.  SO SORRY that I haven't had any blog postings lately.  It's been crazy crazy busy around here.

Some of you might know already, but besides my Stampin' Up! demonstratorship, I also work at Columbus Catholic Schools and at Ministry St. Joesph's Hospital.  This week I hosted 3 different Stampin' Up! events as well as work 27 hours at Columbus and 28 hours at SJH.  And you can't forget we had basketball to attend to as well (can't miss the playoffs!)

On the brighter side, even with my hours increasing at the hospital this month, I AM REALLY GOING TO STRIVE TO HAVE A POST EVERY DAY.  And I'm not going to get dissapointed if I miss one day.  It's okay.  I feel like I let myself down and then I forget to post the next day.  So I'm gonna do this.

I love doing blog posts.  It's something I enjoy and I need to make time for it.  I need to do this for me (WELL AND YOU :)

Please let me know what you like.  What you don't like.  Just let me know your thoughts.  That's what blogs are all about.  Of course I'm going to try and keep this mostly a Stampin' blog but I will include other thoughts in here as well.

Don't worry I'll try not to give you looks like this :)
